I had to run into my library in Kenton County the other day and I noticed this flyer with 50 great books to read in kindergarten. We will be reading some of these in school, but thought you may want to try and find some of these books at your local library!

What You Can Do...
I hope you all are having a great summer and staying cool. One great place to cool off is the library. One of the best things you can do with your child to help prepare them for kindergarten is reading stories to them. Also, have your child create pictures; this would allow your child to practice cutting/gluing scraps of paper. Your child then could tell a story with what they created.

Fun Friday...
The "A" Class had their Fun Friday a couple of weeks ago and they were able to take a trip to the W-T Elementary Library and went to the gym for Jump Rope for Heart. We had a lot of fun. This friday will be the "B" Classes turn for their Fun Friday adventure!

Library, Here We Come...

Since this is the beginning of the 4th quarter, it means our special area has changed. We finished Music last week with Mrs. White and this week we will begin going to Library with Mrs. Vastine! The children will go on Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon! This is a change for the PM children. We typically have our special areas on Tuesdays, but we have changed this to Friday! Your child will be able to check out a book from the Library for one week. If they bring it back on their Library day, they will be able to check out another one. I recommend to keep the book inside their book bag unless you are reading it. This helps keep the book in a safe place!
