School Supplies...

West Clermont Local Schools 2012-2013

W-T Elementary Kindergarten

Please do not place your child's name on the supplies. Our kindergarten rooms use community supplies, so all children will be sharing these items.

1 pair blunt scissors

2 package glue sticks

1 large eraser

1 box crayons

1 package dry erase markers

1 box tissues

2 packages #2 pencils

Backpack (large enough to hold 2 pocket folder)

Less than A Month...

We have just less than a month before the first day of school. I cannot wait for this time because I am always eager to see the children and begin a journey of learning with them! I wanted to let you know that class lists are posted on the front door of the school. You will also be getting a letter from Mrs. Schmidt outlining some important information out Kindergarten. Please note which class you are in for kindergarten. You will be in Group A (Mon/Wed) or Group B (Tues/Thurs). We have tried to meet most requests and have tried to evenly mix each class by gender.

In addition, we have some supplies we are asking children to bring. Here is a list of supplies (please do not place your child's name on the supplies because we use community supplies; therefore, all children will use the supplies):

Required Items:

1 Box of Tissues

1 Box of Crayons

1 Package of Glue Sticks

1 Pair of Blunt Scissors

Optional Items:

Pencil Box/Pencil Bag

2 Packages of Pencils

1 Package of Dry Erase Materials

1 Yellow Highlighter

1 Large Eraser

Unpacking Learning...

I was able to go into school on Monday to begin unpacking all of our items we will be using this year. It is amazing all the various items we use in kindergarten to help children learn; however, our space is just perfect! The room is still a work in progress! I am thrilled we still have a few weeks left to get our room ready. I know you will be just as happy as I am with our beautiful room and building. I am looking forward to having children fill the room in about 4 weeks. As I unpack our items for our classroom, you may be thinking about supplies to buy for your child. This year West Clermont has decided to go to a universal supply list for all 8 elementary schools. Kindergartners only need to bring a pair of Fiskar scissors and a large eraser. We can always use donations of various items, but that will be coming out later on once I figure out what we may still need. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
